Does Pokemon go still work?
Niantic has been through the wringer with the game’s connection to phones and tablets. While some players (myself included) swear by Niantic’s game, the company has been through the ringer with its response to crash and login issues.
Last Friday, Niantic announced that it was halting development on the game for the time being. The reason for the halt was “the rapid pace of development.”
I played the game through the first patch, and it worked fine. The problem was that whenever I tried to set a new time zone, it would reset to the current time zone. It would then display “Local Time” instead of the time zone it was created in.
I.e. If I tried to play the game in England it would display as follows:
“Local Time: 0:00pm to 6:00pm UK Standard Time.
This was the first patch to affect Pokemon Go, and the biggest and most noticeable drop in quality to my experience so far.
The game is great otherwise, and this hasn’t always been a problem, but, given the nature of the game, needs to be fixed urgently.
Love the new version with the new pokemon. Only sad thing is nothing is being done with the coin situation… I have a pokemon in a Gym fo 15 days, can’t get it back and the worse part is that whenever it gets removed, it will bring a maximum of 50 coins ( if I haven’t reached my limit for the day) …
