What does a social media moderator do?

He/She monitors each post or upload on a social media platform and decide if it requires a response. Moderators also encourage good behaviour within groups of followers and post comments/ feedbacks to make the community better informed.
An active moderator shares his/her experiences and insights with aspiring and current members of the community. He/She also liaises with the social media teams of brands, agencies, startups and individual members.

He/She monitors the social media pages of companies, organizations, individuals, and legal issues related to the social media pages. He/She coordinates the company’s social media presence, advertisements, and employee-related conversations.

He/She monitors the brand’s social media presence and employee-generated content, reviewing policies and procedures as necessary. Also, he/she may rotate through each channel to check new uploads, comments, and questions.
