How much should you spend on gifts?

How much should you spend on gifts?  The answer depends.  Some people value gifts more highly, some people don’t.  Some people will love your gesture, some people will hate it.  Some people need gifts, some people don’t.  Some people want to thank you for giving them a special present, some people want to cash it in.
What’s a normal amount to spend on a present from a company or person?  Well, a person needs to know what they’re getting into, how much, and how much per person.  This information can be found on their My Account dashboard  or by going to My Account > Account Settings > Gifts and Events.
When you create a profile, you can enter a personal note about what you like about each person you give a gift to.  This helps you remember what you liked about each person and what you would like to give them in the future.
Once you create a profile, you can add people to your circle of friends by following their photos or videos on My Account.  To do this, go to My Account > My Channels > My Channels > My Friends.
Once you add people to your circle of friends, it’s time to gift cards.  Go to My Account > My Cards > Add a Card.

This depends on the occasion and the person you are purchasing a gift for. If it is a corporate event like a wedding, you should spend more. If it is a group home or adoption occasion, spend less.
However, there is no right or wrong answer when it comes to gift giving. There is no right or wrong answer when it comes to gift giving. There is a difference between giving a thoughtful, personalized gesture and throwing money at someone else’s gift.
Sometimes giving is more about the experience than the money. If you have just had a terrible experience with a co-worker or boss, it might be best to give a gift card to a friend or relative or to a store that sells the item.

How much should you spend on gifts?  I am not sure that there is a perfect answer, but generally speaking, I spend somewhere between $50 and $100.  This does not mean that you have to spend 100%, but that you should aim for somewhere between $50 and $100.
My second biggest expense is time.  Luckily, I don’t have to spend anything on gifts, so it’s not like I have to buy anything.  However, I do need to get a gift card to a gift shop so that I can buy gifts for as many people as possible.  This card should be around $25, so that’s about $30 spent on each person.
I want to give special thanks to Goodwill for sponsoring this week’s episode.  They provided the Milk, Cookies and Warm Milk we drank to celebrate our sisterhood.  They also gave us a signed copy of The Art of Charm, a 7-book set by  Richard Branson, which is available at your local independent bookstore or online.
Thanks again, Richard, for giving us a chance to succeed!  I would highly recommend the program to anyone, no matter what kind of business you are involved in, whether it be small or large, public or private, remember that it is the hard work of many, not the size of your wallet, that determines how much you can expect from your employer.
Thanks, Brian, for letting me use your music at my own wedding.  It was one of the most memorable events of my life.  Thanks, also, for letting me use your music at your events.  It was such a pleasure working with you, and I know you will continue to treat your musicians and producers with the utmost respect.

This depends on what you’re comfortable giving and how close you are to the recipient. Generally, $50 is a good range to keep in mind.
For close family members, $50 is a good range to keep in mind. Depending on the relationship you have with the recipient, this can easily double or triple your budget.
For close friends, $75 or more might be a gift you feel more comfortable giving. Again, $75 might be a gift you feel more comfortable giving than you would if you were giving a gift to a stranger.
For special occasions, $100 might be a gift you feel more comfortable giving. Again, $100 might be a gift you feel more comfortable giving than you would if you were giving a gift to a stranger.
For holiday gifts, $150 might be a gift you feel more comfortable giving. Again, $150 might be a gift you feel more comfortable giving than you would if you were giving a gift to a stranger.
